HOLY WATER CREATED BY BHATARA INDRA
Once upon a time, King Mayadenawa was arbitrary and did not allow the people to perform religious ceremonies to ask the gods for salvation.
After the deed was known to the bhataras, the bhataras headed by Bhatara Indra attacked Mayadenawa. King Mayadenawa lost and fled to the North of the Village. With his power he created a poisonous spring resulting in the army of Bhatara Indra who was chasing him died as a result of drinking the water.
Seeing this, Bhatara Indra immediately stuck his spear and "water came out of the ground" (Tirta Empul).
This Holy Water is used to sprinkle the bhataras so that they can not live longer as before.
